N-K Math Club members preparing the 2014 Rube Goldberg Team Submission

Rube Goldberg Competition 2014

March 07, 2014

Ten NKHS Math Club members attended the Rube Goldberg Content at Minnesota State University, in Mankato, MN, Friday, March 7.

The task:  Zip a Zipper in 20+ steps.

There were about 21 other teams able to make it there due to the weather.  One winner from each of the five rows is chosen and then those machines must re-set and go again for a final time.  NK's  first try was the best of the three, only needing two interventions.  Team captain was Brandon Brockman

The team Rube name was "Fun in the Jungle" and the machine won the prize for "best and prettiest use of duct tape".  Congratulations!
