Pi Day 2018 Recap

Another successful Pi Day/Week is in the books!
NK Math Club hosted a “Pi Day” celebration during the week of March 19-23.
A new record of reciting pi was set by Sydney Welch with 134 digits!
35 pies were made and sold for a total of $640.42 which will go toward calculator scholarships. A big thank you to everyone who bid on those pretty pies, and an even bigger one to those who baked & donated them!
Math club members led the student body in an Academic Pep Rally at the end of the day Friday.
The 3rd place Rube Goldberg machine was shown at the pep rally
Ross DeArmoun won the raffle to pie Mr. Ehlke, and Josh Stevens got to pie Mr. Ferstein.
A successful Pi Week takes the work of many different people, and we appreciate all who made these events possible. Go Vikings!!!
