November 08, 2019
Eleven 9th & 10th grade NK girls went to Iowa State University's Program for Women in Science & Engineering (WISE) on Thursday, November 7, 2019. The students enjoyed engaging and educational group presentations, and signed up for four individual sessions to attend throughout the day which were about STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) careers.

Thank you to the Northwood-Kensett Community Education Foundation for the funding that allowed the girls to experience the STEM conference. The organization paid for the registration fees and parking.
The chaperones were math teachers Kim Borowczyk and Lori Willert.
