 Understanding a Reimbursable Meal (PDF)

The Northwood-Kensett Community School District participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Through these programs, we offer a variety of nutritious and appealing breakfast and lunch entrees paired with choices of fruits, vegetables, and a variety of milk options. Breakfast participation is highly encouraged to help boost student focus and energy for the day. Our students are served within safe, clean, and pleasing dining environments. The Ms./Sr. High School also offers a daily salad bar from which a reimbursable meal can be created. (Many a la carte beverages and snacks are also available for additional purchase at the Ms./Sr. High School.)

First and foremost, meals are offered/provided to all students, and are served equitably to all students. Meals and snacks sold to students must comply with the federal 2010 Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act regulations, along with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans for designated age and grade groups. The Nutritional Services staff consider students, staff, parents, and members of the community our customers, and your participation and satisfaction is key to the success of the school district’s nutrition program. We welcome you to join us for breakfast and lunch!
