On May 13, students and a faculty member from N-K had the opportunity to be honored by KIMT News 3 at a banquet held in Mason City.

Ms. Deb Dakken was honored as one of five finalists for the Golden Apple Teacher of the Year.

Courtney Athey and Courtney Davis were honored as Northwood – Kensett’s Scholastic All Stars. Recipients of this award are given a certificate at the ceremony, and their pictures and biographies are highlighted on Channel 3 out of Mason City.
