Fifteen Northwood-Kensett Staff & Students represented N-K Monday at the Governor's 2nd Annual Bullying Prevention Summit. From L: Amy Renwick, Mary Stoneking, Taryn VanRyswyk, Jenna Jorgensen, Cole Benson, Brooke Hoeppner, Kaitlyn Varner, Brian Campbell, Governor Terry Branstad, Keith Fritz, Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds, Logan Benson, Hannah Gentz, Beth Butler, Chelsea Boyden, DeeDee Dokken, and Katie Schiltz

In addition to the Summit, the Governor also invited all Iowa schools to submit a bullying prevention video in a contest that accompanies the summit. Winners will receive money to fund the bullying prevention efforts at their school, and the first place winner's school will get a visit from Governor Branstad himself.

Mrs. Butler's Video Production class took on this challenge with full force, and their quality submission is available for you to view below. Students from video production filmed and photographed N-K events, and the class collaboratively edited the best "stuff" into the final product. Much of the content of the video was sponsored by the newly formed Viking Way group at NKHS. We're proud of our school's submission and are hoping great outcomes.
