Homecoming 2019 in Review

September 30, 2019

Monday:

Homecoming week kicked off with the announcement of the Homecoming Court (pictured below):

Queen Candidates: Clara Davidson, Lindsey Davidson, Kennedy Eskildsen, Laney Ryks, Madison Shoger
King Candidates: Ross DeArmoun, Makaio Hoch, Tristan Rothove, Caden Schrage, Ethan Thofson

Monday's theme was "Camo Day".

Tuesday

Tuesday's theme was "Teacher Look Alike"
Congratulations to Aaron Davis (Darryl Love), Ruthie Conlin (Mrs. Willert), Trent Tiedemann (Mr. Hartman), and Haddie Hanson (Mr. Ehlke), who won Tuesday's best outfits!

Wednesday:
Wednesday's Color Day brought many winners:

Seniors (Black): Clara Davidson & Gideon Rollene
Juniors (Blue): Brylee Hoeppner & TJ Whitelow
Sophomores (Red): Josiah Kliment & Addy Bachtle
Freshmen (Pink): Brooklyn Dawson & Grady Buenzow
8th Grade (Green): Mallory Rheingans & Justin Mills
7th Grade (Yellow): Hadley Buenzow, Colby Eskildsen, & Addison Tasker


Thursday

Thursday kicked off with the booster club breakfast. Thursday's theme was "Dress Up Day". The only winners chosen for Dress Up day were 10th grade students Josiah Kliment & Aaron Davis. Many middle & high school students participated.

Junior & Senior leaders & their lunch buddies also enjoyed their first lunch together on Thursday.

Thursday night, Madison Shoger & Ethan Thofson were crowned Homecoming 2019's King & Queen.

After coronation, the Junior & Senior girls played the annual powderpuff game. The juniors won 12-6. The Northwood Anchor took many awesome pics of the game, which can be found on their facebook page.

Friday

Friday kicked off with high school athletes visiting the elementary school. Later, the secondary building enjoyed the annual pep rally & games led by the cheerleaders and the Homecoming Parade. Friday evening, Northwood-Kensett beat the Riceville Wildcats in the Homecoming Football game. The Northwood Anchor took many great pictures at the game.
